I get dealt A 10 and raise my standard 3x BB raise
-I get a couple callers
-I flop TRIPS RAINBOW
At this point I think I am the greatest poker player in the world
-So I slow play the hand just checking
-After Runner Runner Diamonds he goes ALL IN on the RIVER
-I call because I’m stupid

He gets to supersize his Big Mac Meal tonight where as I have to order off the Value Menu.

o lawd why me?

I made a moderately decent play today. Guy raised PF with AQ, I was BB with K8 suited so it was only 20cents to call. I was first to act as the flop didn’t look like it hit anyone so I bet the pot. Guy called, Ace came on the turn. I checked to feign weakness since I had the nut hand for this flop. He bet $2 to try and get me off the pot. I of course went all in, he called and my flush took it down.

Flush vs Top Pair
I heard one of the pros on Full Tilt Poker say when in low stakes someone goes all in after a raise its usually an “F*ck Off” bet. Personally I have been trapped by people with monster hands more than people trying to bluff me so I would ignore the advice of someone just wanting you off the pot. If you don’t have a decent hand FOLD. Even if the guy is bluffing risking all your chips is not the way to find out.

I was playing a tournament last night and was JUST about to enter the final table when I went ALL IN on a Ace high FLUSH. I was so preoccupied with doubling up my chips that I didn’t even notice the FULL HOUSE on the board. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Probably my biggest problem is not stopping to think before I make a large bet. SO my new goal is to STOP AND THINK every time I am going to make a LARGE BET.

DAMN! but completely my fault
STOP – THINK – if I get this down I will be on a whole new level.
