$20 Cash Game Last Weekend
September 15th, 2009 -- Posted in Live Games | No Comments »I hosted a $20 buy in cash game for some friends. It was just a friendly game. About half the people there were drunk and were playing very loosely which was good for the better players at the table who knew to play tight aggressive.
All in all my performance was decent. I made one stupid call where I bet 1/4 of my stack on a mid pair. However the other person kept betting and I listened to the inner Phil Gordon in my head that kept saying, “Don’t Over Value Top Pair”
So I folded and glad I did…
I had the 3rd largest chip stack at the end of the game. The final hand was kind of a joke because everyone pushed all in pre-flop with out looking at their cards. The flop missed EVERYONE and I won all the money with a Q high.
Of course one has to recognize that skill had nothing to do with that last hand so I really can’t let go to my head.
