So I was playing a 9 Person NL SitNGo and FLOPPED TRIP 10s with a K kicker. A couple problems with this one is that I completely allowed the the guy to DRAW out his strait. The other problem is that I just DIDN’T see the strait on the board because I fell in love with my TRIPs…again.

I can take away from this hand:
1. I was greedy. SHOULD have raised the POT to make his draw not worth it on the flop.
2. Stop, look, and think…sigh.

While i’m getting better at taking my time I still get impatient now and again. The image below is a picture of a tournament I was in this morning. I flopped TRIP 10s, raised everyone else out of the pot except one guy. I had Trip 10s with A high kicker after the flop so I was PRETTY sure that I had the best of it. He did have a 10 Q and if the situation was reversed I would have gone ALL IN on TRIP 10 Q if someone pushed me all in.

TRIPS vs TRIPS
I was playing small ball with this table for the whole thing so I felt I made good decisions throughout. How ever I should have just bet HIGH not ALL IN. Even though I won its about making SOLID GOOD plays not CRAZY PLAYS and sucking out. This is a recipe for disaster.
Anyway I came in 1st place with a lesson learned. Pretty good tournament I think.

I was playing a tournament last night and was JUST about to enter the final table when I went ALL IN on a Ace high FLUSH. I was so preoccupied with doubling up my chips that I didn’t even notice the FULL HOUSE on the board. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Probably my biggest problem is not stopping to think before I make a large bet. SO my new goal is to STOP AND THINK every time I am going to make a LARGE BET.

DAMN! but completely my fault
STOP – THINK – if I get this down I will be on a whole new level.

I was playing an EXTREMELY loose table and I had BIG SLICK. It was the start of the tournament and I figured what the hell, lets go ALL IN. After all Big Slick is the favorite to win ALL IN against any thing…or so I thought. I actually read in Killer Poker Online 2 by John Vorhaus that Big Slick stands up better against any ONE pair 55% of the time. Which essentially is still a coin flip. I had 5 other ALL IN callers which means my Big Slick wasn’t worth much. I lost to some guys TRIP 9s.
Basically coin toss situations like this are NOT worth ALL IN especially against a big field. It is worth a large bet but NOT ALL IN.

The lesson here is: “You don’t ever want luck to win the match, you want the other guy to need luck to win.”

So just when I thought Jesus and I were best buds Satan comes along and turns out not to be such a bad guy after all.

Trip 9s won me a decent pot last night therefore I pledge allegiance to Black Jesus 999.

I was monumentally stupid last night when I went ALLIN with ABSOLUTELY nothing to try and “scare” the guy off the pot. Honestly the way he was betting I should have known he had something. He PreFloped raised and hes a moderately TIGHT player so that usually means he has HIGH CARDS. He BET the FLOP which came up ALL HIGH cards. I stupidly and without thinking bet all in after the river to try and scare him off. Of course I did not and I am now writing this POST annoyed but still glad I made the mistake on a play money table.

….again, DON’T GO ALL IN WITH SH*T
sigh…my life.
